Pelvis and Perineum

The urinary bladder is a hollow muscular organ that stores and expels urine. It is located in the lesser pelvis, separated from the pubic symphysis anteriorly. Its capacity ranges from 300–500 mL. The trigone, a smooth triangular area at its base, marks the openings of the two ureters and the internal urethral orifice.
