Hip Bone: Anatomy, Acetabulum, and Clinical Significance

The hip bone (os coxae) is a large, irregular bone formed by the fusion of the ilium, ischium, and pubis. It articulates with the sacrum posteriorly and with its fellow anteriorly at the pubic symphysis, forming the bony pelvis. The acetabulum at its lateral surface articulates with the femoral head to form the hip joint.

Axilla: Anatomy, Contents, and Clinical Significance

The axilla is a pyramidal space at the junction of the arm and thorax, transmitting major neurovascular structures from the neck and thorax to the upper limb. Its contents include the axillary artery and vein, brachial plexus cords and terminal branches, and axillary lymph nodes — making it a critical region in breast cancer surgery and vascular procedures.
